The HDLMA Battle of the Bands 2004 was a fantastic event spanning the best part of 3 months, and most certainly the biggest yet. If this is a sign of things to come, then bring it on! Well done to all involved, both organisers and performers.

Prizes

The prizes for Battle of the Bands 2004 were as follows:

Originals, First Place = Cheque for £500, day in a recording studio & 2 free rehearsals @ QM Studios.
Originals, Second Place = Cheque for £100
Originals, Third Place = Cheque for £50

Covers, First Place = Cheque for £100, free use of PA for 2 gigs plus guaranteed support slots at 2 Alliance gig nights.

Songwriters Section, First Place = Cheque for £100

"Spirit of the Competition" award - £25 for the individual artist or musician who most impresses the judges with their ability, talent, attitude, star quality or whatever the judges see fit.
