Heat dates

The dates for this year's competition will be as follows.
All concerts will be at the Drill Hall, Denne Road, Horsham, unless otherwise stated.

5 October - Horsham 'Battle of the Bands' Heat 1
12 October - Horsham 'Battle of the Bands' Covers Heat & Final
19 October - Horsham 'Battle of the Bands' Heat 2
26 October - Horsham 'Battle of the Bands' Heat 3
FRIDAY 31 October - Horsham 'Battle of the Bands' FINAL at the Carfax

Prizes

The prizes for Battle of the Bands 2008 are as follows:

Originals, First Place = Cheque for £500, day in 811 Studios, 2 free rehearsals @ QM Studios and a guaranteed headline at a future HDLMA event
Originals, Second Place = Cheque for £250
Originals, Third Place = Cheque for £100

Covers, First Place = Cheque for £100, free use of PA for 1 gig plus 1 free rehearsal at QM Studios.

Acoustic/Songwriters Section, First Place = Cheque for £100

"Spirit of the Competition" award - £50 for the individual artist or musician who most impresses the judges with their ability, talent, attitude, star quality or whatever the judges see fit.
