ABOUT THE ALLIANCE
The HDLMA was set up in 1999 with the intention of promoting the enormous amount of un-heard talent within the local area and expanding the live music scene in general. Since that time, a Lottery grant has been secured which we have used to purchase a 2kW PA System for use by members
This money has also been put towards enhancing the annual Battle of the Bands competition so that it includes better prizes, more bands and larger audiences
We also have a rehearsal facility which was built by us and we are working to develop into a fully-functional digital recording studio.Our website has become an important resource for the local live music scene, with the addition of a Community Forum. Here, members and non-members alike can share ideas, experiences and advice
